Blog Talk Radio interview with “West Texas Millionaire”,Dan Simonis
Posted by admin on July 11th, 2011
“The curator of Americana”. That’s what Dan Simonis calls himself. A northerner by birth, Dan moved to the southwest and embraced American culture and American music. He drives a classic ’57 Cadillac with tail fins and steer horns on the front. LOVE IT!!!
I had the opportunity to chat with Dan, and what a great guy he is. We spoke about his music which I have to say is perfect for “cruising around in your car”. His band, the West Texas Millionaires, has such a great sound, and Dan’s voice is reminiscent of the Beatles crossed with Roy Orbison.
Dan is also involved in a charity that supports a men’s rehabilitation center called Vehelst Recovery House. http://verhelstrecoveryhouse.org.Awesome!
I love my job because I get to speak with people like Dan about music and American culture and having a burger named after his band. Life is a pretty sweet fruit.
